Halyard Park 2025

As we approach 2025, the Halyard Park Association, with its new leadership, is focused on setting a bold vision for the future. Located just blocks north of downtown Milwaukee in the historic Bronzeville District, Halyard Park is preparing for its next chapter of growth and community development.

In line with this vision, the Halyard Park Association is excited to announce the establishment of the Halyard Park Foundation, a new non-profit organization (501c3). The foundation will enable Halyard Park to secure both public and private funds to support its residents and homeowners, fostering a vibrant, inclusive community that builds upon the neighborhood's rich heritage.

The Halyard Park Foundation (HPF), located near downtown Milwaukee, has announced a new initiative to raise private funds for a life-size statue of Beechie Brooks, the developer of Halyard Park. This effort aims to honor the legacy of Brooks, Milwaukee's first Black real estate pioneer, who played a significant role in the development of the Halyard Park subdivision.

One of the first projects of the newly formed Halyard Park Foundation is to erect a life-size bronze statue of Beechie Brooks, the visionary developer of Halyard Park. The foundation's overall fundraising goal is $125,000, with $50,000 coming from developers, construction companies, and industry professionals who recognize the significant impact this project will have on the city.

Contributing to this project is vital because it supports a mission that goes beyond honoring Beechie Brooks. It offers young professionals, particularly minorities, access to multi-industry initiatives that help them pursue or grow their careers in real estate development. The programs funded by this initiative will provide participants with insights into key real estate development segments and the opportunity to build a valuable network of industry professionals and community stakeholders.

The long-term impact of Beechie Brooks’s legacy will inspire a new generation of real estate professionals, promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry and ensuring that the knowledge and opportunities he created continue to thrive for years to come. Your support will help sustain these efforts and make a meaningful difference in the lives of future developers.
